5lbs or 8lbs
I'm looking at the Vortech V-1 kit at 5lbs ($1,800) and the V2 @ 8lbs ($2,500). Is it worth spending the extra $700 for the V-2 with the T-Rex and BTM? BTW, motor is stock with just exhaust, 4.10's, 190Lph fuel pump, afpr, and mass air conversion (yet to be installed). It has 140K, but it was a former AOD (I put a T-5 in it recently) car that had no signs of abuse/misuse. (Until I got it!!!) Thanks for the help!
You can get either the V1 S-trim or V2 SQ-trim as the bigger kit or the V1 SC-trim as the smaller kit. I'd get one of the two larger kits for the extra money. It's worth it to me. You'll get bored with 5psi quick and the S/SQ trim has more potential.
So the v1 is in 5 and 8lbs? I'm not looking for the SQ model. The noise is actually one of the "perks" I want. So if I want the 8lbs non-SQ i need to make sure i order the V-1?
Nevermind, I think I just answered my own question in my next post!!![&:]

This is the kit I'm looking at. Jegs has it for @ $2,550. I'm going to see if Summit will match their price. Nothing against Jegs, just have done more business with Summit over the years.

The V1 and V2 difference is gear cut. If you want loud, you are wanting a straight cut V1. Vortech's site is pretty weird though. It's showing the SC trim as a V2 under the head unit section but as a V1 under the systems applications section. Summit is showing the SC as a V1. I have always known the smaller SC to be a V1 only. Anyway, it doesn't matter because you should be looking at the V1 S-trim that you linked to. But if you are serious about buying one, I can tell you how to get one cheaper if you're interested.
