I have to say that Im fortunate enough to own a 99 gt, and have driven it happily for a few months now. I bought it from my dad, who replaced it with a 2003 cobra. I got to drive the Cobra this week. This car is not for anyone who dosent know how to drive a car, or dosent have expierence in a car with that kind of power...99% of drivers will never drive the car to its potential, and if they try....well, I hope your insurance is paid up. The car is very fast, very powerfull, and makes more than 390 hp...we got 385 on the chasis dyno, the car is as it came off the lot, with 2600 miles on it...anyone who can afford it should own it, as long as theyre ready to be almost scared by the stock characteristics of the car...the Z06 wasent even close to as much fun...

yeah, we rode to the gas station, and after he filled it up he handed me the keys and said "lets go". Great moment.

ok....yeah, you think you had it bad....listen to...errr..read this..... -- My dad took a job in the Carribbean and so we had a <get this> 304 Peugeot standard shift that was in <here comes the kicker> the steering column....talk about akward crap....but then again, it was a french car (which probably explains the yellow colour...hahahaha) - oh....ps....he never said...."here are the keys...let's go". - but I did get to drive it many times....after i got married (at 18yrs old) (probably trauma from the Peugeot)..... hahahahahaha
