Ok im assuming that a procharger and a vortech/paxton s/c mount in the same general area of the engine bay. Im planning on running a non intercooled procharger and just reclock the s/c and turn in down. Then just run the intake tube right to the TB. My question is, if they mount in the same place and have the same size discharge, would i be able to run, say a paxton intake tube from the procharger to the throttle body?

I think it depends on what your car is. They actually mount in different areas depending on what year your car is.Take my car for example. I have a Procharger and it mounts on the drivers side. I had to relocate the battery in the trunk to make it fit. But if I had gone with Vortech instead of an ATI Procharger, it would have mounted on the passenger side just beside the alternator.

 

If i got one that mounted in the same area from the same year you think it would work?

 

It might take some custom welding and or rubber piping / tubing, etc but you could get it to work. It's not too difficult to get it to go where you want it.

 

hmm...my procharger is located on the passenger side and the battery is still there. As far as turning the dead unit, i would make sure that the lubrication would still be ok, cause its self-contained.
