is it true that if you only run 4.4 psi you dont need a tune?

I would never do ANY FI on a car w/o a tune. And btw, where did the 4.4 come from. There is no magic number for boost or tuning. Any mods are changing the peramiters of the engine and the tune w/ be off. When you add FI, you need to compensate somehow.

if you run a fmu you could probably get away without a tune on such a low boost pressure but youd still have to remove total timing and that wouldnt be optimal.

why start at 4.4psi?? turbo set up right? start at 6psi and work your way up.

with a fmu you'll be fine. but you will always get better performance and reliability with a good tune....so that is always what i recommend. im assuming you're considering the saleen sc since you said 4.4psi. why spend all that money on the sc etc. to save a few hundred on a good tune...that also goes for running 4.4psi....run at least 8-10psi

with 4.4psi you wont need to upgrade your stock fuel system. you will still need a fmu or a chip/tuner and a dyno tune
