hi I'm new to Mustang Forums and I have a stock 96 mustang gt.

I was wondering what upgrades I should add
any info will be appreciated.

start off with gears, then go to exhaust...a fenderwell Cold Air Intake would be good too for starters

 

my car is automatic, so what kind of gears should I get. also where would be a good place to buy?

 

you could get 3.55, 3.73, 4.10....i went with 3.73....remember the higher the gear the more of a punch on the acceleration...but gears aren't to good for higway driving...you'll be higer up there in RPM's but not bad...i'm not sure where the best place is to buy from...try Jegs.com, summitracing.com, mustangtuning.com...etc...so many more places to look...just type mustang parts in search..haha

I also agree that gear, exhaust, and CAI are the first 3 things you should do. For gear I recommend 4.10 (because you have an auto), for exhaust I recommend magnapacks, and any brand CAI

 

definitly go with 4.10's if auto

 

k so i have a question. does cold air intake actually help?

 

glad that got brought up....my 98gt is also an auto... why go with 4.10's, and not 3.73's? just curious becuase i am buying gears within the week here lol. thx.
