intercooler
is there a major difference between the two core and three core intercooler. im lookin for 500 - 550 rwhp and would luv to buy the right one the first time. any info is appreciated
im peiceing the kit togethor. i planned on gettin the 3 core intercooler, but thought maybe i could save some money. i should really stay on the safe side though, cooler air is better air.
meh. i actually bought the safe injection kit for my methanol injection. i have 2 indicator lights in my car. one lights up green when the flow starts and an amber one lights up if there's a problem with the flow, telling me to get the hell off the throttle (hasn't happened yet *knock on wood*). it will also pull timing from your car if you don't get off the gas when that light comes on and you can get an optional bypass release to bleed the boost out. all in all, it's quite safe and acts as a great intercooler and octane booster.

Only my opinion, and I do respect Nanaki's advice in the tech section so please no flamethrower, but methanol is hard on seals and regardless of how you tune for it, stays just on the fringe of disasterous results. Again my $.02. If what you want to support is 500hp, then 2core is fine. If you have dreams of stepping up the air volume you may want to dig deeper. But people are building HUGE hp on 2 core. The strange thing about building is that for every person that say's "well you gotta have one of these" there are just as many "hey look what I did's" that reverse the original mentality. Blower cars are a tuners wet dream, they run different under changes in barometric pressure, humidities and operating parameters of the engine itself. But 500 on 2 core is fine. A reputable manufacturer is not going to sell you or recommend something that will trash your motor.
