That sounds like a pound of feathers versus a pound of steel type question.

If they are both putting 125hp to the wheels, they are both putting 125hp to the wheels.

As far as which is the better power adder, it really depends on your goals, your needs, and your budget.

Done right, they both kick ***. Once you decide which one to go with, you open up a whole other can of worms. Wet vs dry shot? Centrifugal vs positive displacement? ZEX, Venom, NX? Vortech, ProCharger, KB?

So to answer the question of which is better, the answer would be...yes. [8D]

nitrous you can upgrade to bigger jets after you put forged internals...but superchargers are so cool and you can have a meltdown with n2o plus supercharger never turns off like nitrous but you can also change the pullies on the spercharger but dont geta centrifical blower get the twin screw

do you think that if your smart about using you n2o and if you do it right as far as fuel, and dyno that it could be as reliable as a blower??

Nitrous is very safe and reliable as long as its done right. Advantage is its inexpensive. Disadvantage is it isnt always on and u have to refil. Superchargers are more expensive, and put more stress on the engine as it is constant boost. Advantage is youv always got the power, and no refils. If you got a lot of money to spend, then buy a SC. If your on a limited budget, buy nitrous. If your on a very big budget, buy both.

i have an 03gt mustang with just your basic bolt ons, gears, and an xcal. if i wanted to put a 125hp shot of nos on, what supporting mods would you recommend besides maybe a 255lpm fuel pump, new xcal tune, and dyno tune?? how much power and nos do you think my stock 2v motor could handle??

i would say virtually identical

look at it this way , nitrous is used when you want it , a blower is always spinning and you need to acommodate for it (timing , premium fuel etc.)

depends on the amount of road time, yes you will eventually buy the blower w/ bottle refills, but if you add lots of miles, you'll be rebuilding the blower every couple years too, and that can add up

i like nitrous, i run 89 octane all week and 94 on the weekends

this is incorrect .. n20 cars are ALWAYS faster - equal setups.. the n20 is instant HARD and full-o-torque
the s/c is a great setup and better IMO... n20 is hard on motors and is not nearly as safe or reliable as a mechanical FI... they are not the same, n2o on a forged motor will all the fixins is fine, but for our stock 4.6 blocks its a no no, (for me) alot of people run it and do it fine for along time.. but I know people who blow it on an 80 shot... just too risky for me, but that your desicion... put it this way 150 out of a blower vs even 100 or maybe 125 shot.. the n20 will smoke it, until she blows

In a nitrous application you will create more torque than HP. But SC cars dont run dry, and the power is not there by a flip of a switch. If you have a 125 shot of nitrous or a 125 extra HP via a SC you are gonna be a happy man.

youll have to refill a 10 pound bottle after a couple of hours of messing around. i had 125 shot plate and emptied a bottle in 45 min.around town. a supercharger or turbo is on all the time .
