Default Nitrous Questions Thread

Is there actually any differences between any of the nitrous kits? There Nitrous Express, theres Zex, theres Venom...Im sure Im forgetting some. Anywayz, anyone knowif there are any differences? I was wondering if theres one better than the other...or if one has a higher shot available without having to go fogger. I drive a 06 Gt and was looking for the maximum shot available. I have a ton of other mods going in with it to harness it...Just new to nitrous. Thankz!

From the articles I have read, the NX kits tend to make a bit more power than other kits, when they are compared to the same "hit".

IMO the best kit for the 05+ mustangs is the ZEX kit. Installs in a breeze and it is a PERFECT starter kit.

The NX plate kit for your car is a 50-150hp kit as shipped. It's good to 300hp if you just change the jets.

+1. Very user friendly. I took my time to install it and everything worked right the first time.

just make sure you go wet. i like the plate systems, less chance of puddling in the intake manifold.

Also if you go with zex use the next size fuel jet , you get better a/f ratio.zex seems to run a little lean.
(if you use the 100 shot nitrous jet use the125 fuel jet etc....)

Thanks guys. That really will help, next question though. How long do you guys think my stock clutch will handle me running say a 175 shot wet nos? I know these blocks are good up to about 500-550 hp with forced induction daily driver...I plan on doing a couple of mods with the nos though. Like a tuner, a steeda cai, a steeda tri ax, some drag slicks, headers, and some pullies. Hoping to pull low 12's maybe even break the 11's? I only plan on going out and using that setup and running nos 3-4 runs every time I go once every few months or so. BTW, where is a drag strip around here?
