CryO2 Question
OK, currently I have an NX system, but it's used, and uninstalled. Reason I'm asking this is because I'm looking for something newer and I stumbled upon the CryO2 system. Now I understand this system uses CO2 instead of N2O. Is it any good, because it's fairly new, but just a hair cheaper than NX, and about ball park with Zex. Also, any ideas as to how it works. Like I said, just curious, because if it really is any good, I may sell my current kit to get a CO2 Kit.
I don't know how explosive CryO2 is but I do know that it's severly cold. Almost like liquid nitrogen. I'd use it to get my intercooler colder before a race, much like CO2 sprays. But, I could be completely wrong, altogether. I usually am. Good luck!
OK, to answer a few questions, my engine is totally N/A other than the NX kit I have, which is still yet to be installed. Yea, I was wondering myself exactly how their system works, because it's hard to find info on them.
stick with your nitrous kit. cry02 kits wont do much for a rather stock 5.0.. use the nx kit, and have fun. next mod ya need to think about is junking the heads on your car now
Actually trips, my 5.0 isn't rather stock, it's a 331 stroker that's about to get a ported Cobra intake, and ported GT-40 heads. Intake is in my room, still working on the heads, hope to have those by March.
cryo is nowhere near as cold as N2O... it should only be used as a intercooler fogger, for the simple fact that its alot cheaper to be wasting...
CO2 does not get anywhere near as cold as N2O, nor does it have the ability to be burned...

Yea the only use you can really get out of a Cry02 system on a n/a setup is they make a pipe that goes in your intake to dramatically drop the incoming air temp but thats about all. As others said its generally just used to cool an intercooler before or even during a 1/4 mile run.
