Default NEW Exhaust System

If any one has any thoughts on a good catback system without a lot of resonance I would be curious to hear about them. I want to be heard somewhat from the outside, but I want to maintain driver and passenger comfort for conversations and music listening. Performance gains could not hurt, I don't suppose.

Oh yea, the only mod that I have is Eibach springs which may and may not factor into exhaust recomendations (clearance issues).

Thanks for the help.

i am running the magnaflow cat back with LT's and offroad H pipe on my 89 hatch. i would not trade it for the world. At idle and cruising speed....sounds almost stock, but when you get into her....she sounds bad ***!!!! no more headaches like i had with flowmasters!!!

My 01 has a really sweet sounding Flow Master system. Unfortunately I don't know what series, it is one of the nicest V8 sounds I've heard anywhere. One of the guys I work with wants me to go to the muffler shop with him when he gets a new exhaust on his 77 Vet, that's how good it sounds. It turns heads yet, is not too loud.

I need to go in for an oil change, maybe I can have them look for me while it's up in the air...Good luck.

Nice, I would appreciate it if you found out while they were changing the oil. Plus big thumbs up on the aiding of the 77 Vette's exhuast, that must mean it sounds really good.

I have an appointment Monday and I'll see if they can tell what seriesof Flow Master that was used. They let me look when I first bought the car, but that's been three years ago.

Ill bet lazer red is talking about the Flowmaster Force II system, it uses the 50 series instead of the 40 series mufflers. The American thunder system is louder and more agressive but the Force II is much quieter at lower rpms and sounds great under acceleration.

From your description you may be right! When I romp on it it puts out a very gutsy sound! I love it. When I first looked at the car and started it up, I didn't think my wife would go for it, but she didn't mind. It truly is one of the best sounding cars I've ever heard. It's quite a bit louder than stock. Maybe I can record it and post a link??? I've got three days off, hmmmm...

I used to have a 1967 Chevelle SS that had a Corvette 396 that was built, it red-lined at 8,000 RPM and when I uncorked it at the track it sounded like a Pro-Stocker. God it was an awesome car, except for the fact that it had all the attributes of a Chevy, like a cheap interior. I certainly wish I still had it though.I now have a 1972 F250 with a 428 in it and when I romp on it it sounds pretty sweet too! Nothing sounds like a nice healthy V8!

go with a bassani cat back, with an off road h-pipe. its the most beautiful sounding exhaust you will ever hear. its a little on the expensive side, but you wont regret it and you will stick out. you wont have the same damn exhaust everyone and ther mother has.

Well after getting an oil change and new tires I still don't know what series Flow Masters that I have. Sorry. I guess I need to look for myself.
