NOS suggests nothing bigger than a 100 shot.....so I'd play it safe and stick with that.

You can use any push button that's red.....just have someone fab up a ring that says what you want on it (a ring with a stencil and flat black primer, peel off the stencil and coat in clear coat to prevent peeling off the lettering).

A tranny brake is only used when stationary. It engages first and reverse gears at the same time, making it impossible to move (hence the only use when stationary). Once engaged, the driver mashes the throttle and maxes out the stall converter. To launch, they release the button.

That's why you see Funny Cars and the guys really into it EXPLODE off the line like they do.

Yup, what he said.

On the 281s though, I read that 20hp per cylinder was safe for a stock engine.

I'd put an 80hp shot with a 1-2 sec delay that should come in when you shift to 2nd

Or don't have a delay, run when your motor's ready for it. Why wait for second gear? You miss all the chance of first to use it.

If you do use a controller, use an RPM/load based one to help keep traction.

The computer might be vehicle specific.

Give Zex customer service a ring and find out for sure.
