would just putting cooler spark plugs on a 35 shot of nitrous be safe enough on a 2000 v6...

you can run the 35 with no changes at all. Im running 75 on my cobra with 12° initial timing and 89 octane gas on stock heat range plugs

35hp is nothing. When you upgrade to a 50hp shot you can start to classify it as a tailwind.
