Default H-pipe

Installed a new H-pipe on my 2000 Gt. Was fully expecting the service engine soon light to come on, as I am not running MILs. I got no light was so ever after 150 miles. I know that it is working; because when you turn the key to the on position the service engine soon light is on. What is the deal?

Thanks

It sometimes takes a while, don't worry you will eventually get the light if you aren't running any cats.

I'd just as soon not get the "service engine" light. Heck, I know when to change the dang oil. As far as your new "H" pipe, you screwed up. You should have gone with an "X" pipe. Oh well, too late.

X-pipes dont really show any benefit unless applied to high horse applications (450+). I went from an H to an X-pipe on my old 96GT and it sucked. Seemed like my low end torque just bottemed out. Up high it pulled well but the raspyness of it all was sickening. Id take an H-pipe for a street car over an X any day.

LOL You obvisously didnt have the right set up with the X pipe. Mine is deep and has just a slight rasp to it but its still deep enough not to be able to hear that.
