Default Superchargers

Ok guys, I got the go ahead from the wife that I can get a S/C for the GT, just dont know when yet. So I have acouple of questions and choices. Which would you guys choose and why? And where would be a better place to find a S/C? I got my prices from the home pages of each S/C company, so they might be alittle high.

since they are all about the same price id buy the kb. plenty of power down low unlike all the others. i have a vortech on my car but with the 5.0s, vortechs are way cheaper (about $2k) so it was a price thing for me

Duh...............

I would get a turbo kit..........more street friendly and boost is adjustable.......plus there is no parasitic power loss like you get with a SC. Check out a Hellion turbo kit for you car. Trust me spend the extra 1300 dollars, you will not regret it.

I thought the S-trim from Vortech was intercooled, atleast that is what I gathered off their website.

Yeah I seen that, but I've always had a theory that v8's should always have a S/C, since they already have the power to make more power and 4 cylinders should have turbos because they can help turn a 150hp 4 banger into a 300hp sleeper. Dont know why but thats what I always thought. I was gonna get a S/C for my Celica GTS, but it would only bump the hp from 160 at the wheels to about 220 at the wheels, but a turbo would bump the hp up to nearly 300 at the wheels with a good tune.
