Default choosing nitrous kit

ive decideed to add nitrous to my car. there are alot of questions about this but no exact answers as to what im looking for. my questions are......
1)what size shot should i be able to run in my '01 gt, i have 4.10 gears, intake, exhaust, and h-pipe?
2)im looking realy hard at the zex kit right now, has anybody had any problems with it?
3)if i were going to do some motor work to hold up to the nitrous better, what parts should i replace??
thanks guys.....

I have almost the exact same setup on my 03 GT, but i dont know too much about nitrous and im still debating whether i should get a dry or wet shot. If your manifold is plastic, which it probably is, i wouldnt go above a 75-100 shot. Everyone tells me the ZEX kit is fantastic, but im also getting good feedback and have seen good runs with NOS. If you are going to want to do some motorwork to hold up against the juice, forged internals (rods, rings and pistons, and crankshaft) are a good upgrade, and are ABSOLUTELY necessary if you get a direct port kit.

Well, after your get the forged internals it's all about how much more fuel you can flow until your block decides to give...

so would i be ok hooking up the zex wet kit ,28023 i think, and running a 100 shot in my car like it sits now, or would it be more safe to run a 75 shot?

Safer to run a 75, but you will obviously get more power from a 100 shot. If youre really that worried, get an aluminum cast manifold (bullitt preferably) and i think you can run a 150 shot safely.

I believe so yes. Any manifold that is not plastic will do much better holding a shot of the juice when its made of a more durable material, such as aluminum.

As long as you run a safe tune, you should be fine with a 100 shot.
