Default Will this pass emissions test?

BBk longtubes with a shorty catted x pipe? I know I need to find out for my particular state/area but before I do that I was just curious if anyone knows if they would pass in their area.

I am thinkign it should pass unless they are going to be upset about me messing with functioning cats and manifolds and such. I have been wrong before though. Cats are the main factor in passing right? ANd sicne i will have 2 cats still I am thinking I should pass though.

Any thoughts? Anyone know from expierence?

That generally will not pass emmissions, unless you can get some O2 sensor extensions to the back of the pipe and the cats are good. With a setup like that, I imagine you would pass...

md always says you might pass the sniffer test but not the visual. by law you cant touch the cats unless they are like 50,000 miles old or your can verifie that the stock cats were broken. if you have a strict inspector i doubt you will pass.

I have aleady pulled off the stock h pipe anyway so you are saying I would fail even with my current set up then? What can they do to me if I pass the sniffer test but fail due to me swapping out the working cats? because if they wanted me to swap the stock one back on thats about the same problem because i would have 2 working cats on my car and they would be asking me to pull them off when there is no problem with them...

but i think the law says you can not get rid of your working 4 cat system unless its oldeer than 50,000 miles old or you can prove they were damaged. me personally dont give a sh*t. so i would just switch back to the 4 cats when emmissions come around and youll be fine. it will pass the sniffer test but not the visual if it has less than 50 k

Either way, with cats you should pass, so i wouldnt worry too much. If not, find someone that will pass you.
