Default which supercharger is best

I'm pretty sure I'm going to supercharger my 07 gt cs. Which supercharger would be the best, and how much boost can I run safely without wearing my motor? I'm in the researching stage of this so any info will be helpful.

it's not the boost you gotta worry about, it's the power you get from it. there's a lot of 05+ GTs with 480RWHP holding up just fine, however, my stepdad's 06 GT blew with just 408RWHP. yes, it was tuned.

For an '07 It seems to me....and I am not saying I am right....Just opinionated that the Whipple or Kenne Bell is great for streetability. Of course they are selling what seems to be a ton of Pro-Chargers a day also. I guess it depends on what you want to do. Kenne Bell's and Whipple=Instant on. Centri's=Upper range of your powerband.

yeah like anything else its all what you want to do. I'm not looking to make 800 hp. I'd like to get opinions on how much is safe to run.

9psi is very safe and the minimalist approach. The great thing about the '07's that people are finding out is the shortblocks ability to sustain abuse. 9-12psi is not going to blow that thing apart.

Well, boost is directly related to hp. The more oxygen stuffed in, the more hp made. Roots types are instant on like the guy said. Centri's are for mid-upper power. I have a Procharger P1SC and love it. It will make about 12lbs with my pulley and I like the upper range power because I have all I can use at the low end and the problem is keeping the wheels hooked. I want the power for the second 1/8. What you need to worry about is the rotating parts. I just blew three holes in the block, disintegrated two pistons and three rods. The pan is full of twisted, broken metal. Stock pistons/rods/valve trainwill not take much more than 400hp - don't care what anyone says. If they haven't blown up yet, they aren't pushing it hard. Either style huffer will blow up a stock engine if you drag it like a pro.
