Default paxton cooler on a vortech

well i saw md say this was a intercooler guys put on with their vortechs so.... the tubes dont look that complicated so would fitment require any adjustments? it would also be easier to get more power out of the charger and run less timing correct? so any comments would be great.

I believe to use it you've gotta re-clock the blower, not sure if you have to fab your own piping. MPH in Atlanta does it all the time, in fact they do more Vortechs with the Paxton intercooler vs Vortech's own aftercooler

if you were gonna do something like that would you go with the intercooler or the aftercooler?

I'd just get the aftercooler myself, the intercooler is better for long duration driving as it doesn't get heat soaked as bad - and the aftercooler cools better short term (like 1/4 runs) but gets heat soaked easily. So, for a daily driver that doesnt see much track time an intercooler would be better. I like the track myself, and nothin like icing the aftercooler for some REALLY cold air

You will need a mandrel machine and you will have to fab all the piping. That won't be very much fun.

I've seen folks use 3" exhaust piping with straight pieces and bent pieces, they cut and welded the piping to fit - although your way would be much nicer - you can get tubing benders for a couple hundred bucks - although the ones I looked at would only bend up to 2 1/2" - not mandrel of course though
