So there are a lot of Cam posts out there, most of the guys working with the alphbet cams have EFI. I am running a 1969 302 in my 1965 mustang, GT40-p heads and the stock 1988 5.0 roller cam. The car runs smooth, gets about 18 mpg, and breaks the 235-45-r17 z compound tires loose from the line.

Now I am getting ready to bolt on my B&M 177, and Holley 670. Well I want to do the cam as well. I am running 1.6 full roller rockers with guide plates and Comp cams spring (good up to .550 lift).

Will the E303 cam work well with this carb setup...I am asking because I can pickup a new E cam for aroun $100, and use my current springs and have no clearance problems. I go down to Ron's Performance and every roller cam they list for S/C apps look to be around .530 lift and above, and in upwards of $300 (for cam only). I have NO emissions, no EFI, yes I am running PCV. I have a C-4 with stock gears, Kevlar bands, 2200 rpm stall, and 3.27 gears.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

the stock 5.0HO cam, the e-cam and the f-cam are all good off the shelf boost cams. they are all very similar.
