I run nitrous in my mustang gt and the bottle is located in the trunk and sometimes a import want to race me but my bottle is close and i dont want to spend $200+ on a remote bottle opener
my ? is can i just leave the bottle open all the time

Keeping that much pressure in the line all the time is bad for the solenoids. Eventually they will probably start leaking. Also if for some other reason a small leak developed somewhere your bottle would all leak out..

 

I hate to say this also, but I have people tell me all the time that they leave the bottle open, my experience dictates bad idea. As a matter of fact I never left my bottle(s) in the car if I had no intention of running it. Just my thing I guess.
