Default Exhaust dilemma

Ok, here is my problem. My car came with Flowmaster 50 series catback... American Thunder kit I believe. I am going to be installing long tube headers and an appropriate mid pipe. Maine requires cats for inspection but I have no issues swapping mid pipes when the time comes. So, I am looking for a good sound but I know the 50 series mufflers are gonna be my crutch. I like the sound of the prochambers but know they tend to be a little on the quieter side. With my lame 50 series mufflers would I still get a good note from Mac LTs and a prochamber shorty? Or would I be better off with a good old fashion o/r h/x pipe? Last but not least... how do catted mids sound with LT headers? I looked for clips but most I find dont work. I know its a LOADED question but I thought someone might be able to help me out. Thanks
