Default Nitrous Questions

Okay - I have a 4.6L V8 with a Auto tranny. It is basically stock. I have heard that I can put a 100 shot on it with it being stock and it will be just fine. If so, what system do you recommend? How much are NOS tanks to refill these days?

NOS, compucar, NX and ZEX are all great kits to buy. If you put nitrous on a car without a tune you will have to have a window switch as well to eliminate the possibility of a backfire. Around here it costs 30 dollars to fill a bottle.

yeah you'll be fine, personally i'd go w/ NOS, or NX

most of them are good, not to offend ne1, but i'd stay away from cold fusion orvenom

w/ 100 jets, you will 10 full runs in the 1/4 mile as long as you are using a heater and not purging 2 lbs per bottle.

that will leave about 3 lbs in there so you when you top it off you'll need 7, in detroit area nitrous is $3.75/lb si it's roughly $28/fill some states/cities are sky high though, in cali expect to pay $5.25 in many places

Okay. Thanks for the information. I have another question though.

I have heard of WOT switches, which I assume activate only when you floor the pedal (since I have an auto). Are these better? To me, that sounds like it would be a good setup because the only time I get on it is when I need some speed (once I go to the track, and when I am scaring the **** out of my passengers)

If you've never used nirrous before, then I HIGHLY recommend a WOT switch instead of a buttom or momentary switch. Because if you have a wet kit and you spray at the wrong time this can easily happen.
