Default The Bird is almost ready

I have been busy doing the last mod that I plan on doing to the Bird. I decided to step the 393 up a little with a Vortech YSi. There is no kit for this, plus I am doing a blow through carb setup, so it took a while with some fabrication required.

Here is a shot.

Play time this weekend.

Thanks... I plan to switch to E85 this Winter, which will give me 105 octane, and a very cool intake temp. When that is done, I am looking for 700+ . Will most likely hold it down to around 600 till then.

On E85, 700+ at the wheels. Yes, I will be changing gears for sure. 4.30 is a great compromise gear for street and 1/8th mile now, but will need changed to something a little tamer for my expected new trap speeds. I am traping 93 in the 1/8th now @ about 5,200 rpms. I am looking for 105-110 in the 1/8th when completed. May tame down the converter stall also. This should make cruising a lot better, even with the E85.

Beautifull car! Very very clean under the hood. I see you took your time and paid attention to detail! It really paid off.
