3.73 gears or 4.10??????
i'm all about 4.10's
and aod cars need more gear than a t5 car since the 1st gear ratio is so lopsided in comparison
t5=3.35
aod=2.40
take the first gear (X) the rear end gear for TOTAL GEAR , you 'll see a t5 w/ 3.08s is comparable to a aod w/ 4.10's in 1st gear and even less actually
3.08*3.35 = 10.318
4.10*2.40 = 9.84
and this is why my friends....i'm not a aod fan....tried it.......hated it........broke a lot

If your drag racing andgetting a s/cI would get 3.73's or 3.55's I'm running a tremec w/ 4.10's and 425 rwhp. On a 275/50/15 M/T drag radial I'm shifting into 5th before the1000' mark at about 105 mph.
im about my 4.10's too. actually - i think they hook up better for some reason - maybe im just decent at feathering - but the car pulls soooo much harder than stock or a 3.55 gear - now 3.73 are a nice all around... but imo regardless of FI or N20 the 4.10 is the way go... it just makes you accelerate faster in every gear - and makes 5th useable. But if you do alot of highway then yes get a 3.73, I do a fair amount of highway - but i didnt get a mustang to bitch about losing 2mpg with a mod.
