not a big fan of magnaflow personally, prefer the sound of flowmasters with an o/r pipe

thanks for yall's help. i still dunno what i am going to do. where can i find H pipe online to buy and what is the price. i have found x pipes all over but haven't had luck finding H. i will go w/the long tube headers later. i also have installed super 40s flowmaster on it. next in line is tinting windows, superchip, k&N cold intake, and better gear but i dunno what 3.90?

Good job with the flows. I love them. I will probably get made fun of for this, but here it goes. I personally do not like the sound of the o/r with flows. Hi flow cats do not restrict much horsepower at all, and results in a much smoother sound. Not as loud, but imo better. It might be this one car, but theres a 99 gt in town that has catless stock h, and it sounds horrible. theres no other word for it. I have magnaflow cats with an x and i love it.

yea the flows make it sound awesome. when i bought the car, it already had 40 series flowmasters on it. i heard super 40s were like 2x better so i purchased and installed them. the sound is alittle deeper but not huge difference until you hit the high rpms and speed and that is when it roars. and now it has a purr to it in 5th gear unlike 40s. i love them but i kinda wish i would of just kept 40s and spent money someplace else on the car.

wait a second, it is worth it when nearly red line throwing it up a gear or just cruising then dropping it a gear or 2 screaming down the road. that's when my legs get numb from the feeling your about to run across a cop and you see one your stomach drops to ur ankles and your legs are like a thousand pounds. anyone feel that before? that is what i live for. to live and die in my mustang.

as far as a gear is concerned...I loved my 3.73 gear...it was fun but it was a tad much for daily HWY driving @ 80MPH...my car screamed around 4200 w/ my MAC O/R H-Pipe & AMERICAN THUNDER II MANDREL BENT FLOWMASTER SYSTEM...so I think for daily use, a 3.55 is a good gear for daily driving...

check out this site too for some great mustang parts & prices: http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/
