Default Supercharging/Modifications

New to the Forum and new to the Mustang thing. I have been researching the M3 and the Corvette, but find myself stuck on the Mustang. I drove the GT over the weekend and thought it was outstanding. I am 6'5" and fit nicely in the car. Here are my questions/thoughts though for the car:

1) Can I add a supercharger (e.g., Whipple or Vortech) and not void any of the manufacturer's warranty? (I received an e-mail from Vortech and they said that it would not, but I wanted to make sure)

2) I have about $6-7k to play with for modifications, but do want tires and other things to go along with the supercharger (e.g., possibly 20" wheels). I saw the 20" polished chrome wheels on a black GT and thought they looked great.

3) Convertible vs. coupe, thinking coupe as I might have a little more $$$ to play with on modifications.

4) This car will be my daily driver, so it needs to fast, but livable.

5) Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance. I have read so many posts and know that I can get a great answer(s) here and look forward to building the GT and enjoying it for years.

you put a blower on there and you can kiss your warranty goodbye.

Please take a look at some of these cars. No one has 20in wheels for a reason.a 20in rim is heavy and will affect the acceleration of your car. If u want big bling get the 18in saleen wheels. if i had 7k i wouldnt even imagine spending it on rims. tires maybe. kb+everything else. 11's would be possible with that.

Thanks. What would your suggestion be for the blower; whipple H.O. or the non-aftercooled?

Bye bye warranty. The stock "gator back" good years my car came with were superb tires. Nice traction (dry weather), nice sidewall, but short lived with a 180 (?) treadwear rating and ZR. DROP KIT!!! VORTECH SC!!! Only real problem with my car (2000 GT) is that it sits like a monster truck. Your probably getting a 2005, which i would guess would not be that much different. DROP KIT DROP KIT DROP KIT

Since you have the cash, go intercooled Kenne Bell. I drive mine every day, love it. Warranty? We don't need no stinkin warranty!

Nothing compares to the daily driving power of KB. Rims? 18" is max. Check out the prices for 315mm wide drag radials of whatever rim size you're thinking about... and plan on new rears every 10k miles if you want to really enjoy yourself.

Only other mod you probaly want is intake and exaust. Cat-x and Cat-back combo will give you 30rwhp if you have the blower.
