IM GETTING AN 03-04 SC COBRA!!!!i talked to my wife for like 2 hours last night and she thinks that since we are getting a divorce (which i dont want), she will wait for me to get back from Iraq in mayto get divorced. because if im single and i go to Iraq i only come back with maybe 17grand. married i come back with 35grand. she thinks that i deserve more money since im putting my life on the line every day. i know you guys are going to say that she wants to take half of it in court butmy dad hasa power of atourny and all my money goes into a seperate account of his that way just in case she does try anything my account will say $.00 and his will say $35,000 and when i get back im trading my gt in for the cobra and will still have $15,000 to put into the motor. what can 15grand do to asc cobra??[sm=drooldude.gif]

 

Man, sorry for the divorce. 15 g will go a long way with a 03-04 cobra. First thing I'd do is stiffen up the rear end. Next would be turbos if it were me. A twin turbo cobra with all stock motor made 804 rwhp with race gas here at home. The valve covers have never been off, just bolted on the twin turbo kit with good exhaust and put race gas in.

 

ya but its going to be my dd. by the way. cobras came with a 93 tune right?? im looking for 600rwhp on pump gas. and what do you mean stiffen up the rear end. new gears??? i dont know.

 

Hey man, be careful with soon to be x-wife, they tend to be very debious and she will try to take your money. About being deployed well, I know it sucks but it is part of the job and make sure you come back in one piece that way you can enjoy your new cobra.

I would beef up the rear end also. The stock IRS is not very strong. If it were me id swap it with a solid rear. Then maybe a kenne bell, or whippleblower.

 

slapping a KB on there will get you to 600+RWHP quite easily. what good is all that power if you can't hook. there was a guy that used to post here called jdaniel who had a 650RWHP cobra. he ran low 12s...

 

i wouldnt count on this one bubba - your little power of atty will not protect you from her interest in that money, that money is contingent upon your marriage to her, it will incurred while you are still married (entittling here to half) and this added to the fact that you intend to circumvent her claim through an outside accounting scheme - this could result in loss of more than half of that 35grand - or worse.... sounds like a rotten apple to me

 

yes nut if the money is spent into my only car she wouldnt be able to take half of it cuz it will be gone. that is going to happen before the divorce. and the devorce is on good terms. she just cant handle the stress of being a marine wife. and she has a scholorship to college in florida. when i get out she wants to try again. so i dont think she is trying to **** me over like that. we sat down and had a long talk about everything and we both agreed that it would be better to wait. my parents are both cops and they said the courts wouldnt take my only car away from me. she has a car of her own too. and me being a marine almost any judge wouldnt take something that i have worked for so hard away. ie the cobra. i have been with her for 5 years and i know she isnt the type of person to do that to me.

 

i remember reading one of your hundred posts about how you were debating between supercharging your gt, or buying a cobra, and we told you to save your money, build your gt, and keep the gt name? what ever happened to that idea? you are so confusing????????

 

the difference in money needed after selling the GT to get the cobra, you could build a faster GT. if i sold my GT for 16k (KBB), i'd have needed another 8k to get a cobra. i put that 8k into my GT and no stock cobra can touch it. hell, even a lot of pulleyd cobra wouldn't.
