Default Nitrous Install Pictures.

Well I know how hard it was to find pictures when i wanted them for ideas so I’ll post up what I could come up with and how I did it. However this will not be a step by step post because I didn't take enoughpictures of the install while installing it.

This is the bottle mounted in the truck; I cut slits in the carpet to fit over the bottle stand's legs. I got that idea from the Brenspeed post.I think it looks extremely clean.

This is just one more view of the front bottle stand.

The neck of the bottle is placed directly over the grommet leading out of the car.

I ran the nitrous line under the car, it came out of the sub frame and I zip tied it to the fuel filter. I pretty much followed the brake lines to the front of the car and used plenty of zip ties to keep it held up.

I installed the Zex box just under the CAI, it gets that big purple box hidden and out of the way. all of the SS Braided lines are covered in wire loom to keep that hidden look. MPO it really looks a lot cleaner this way.

Again this is just another view of the box from the fender side. Here you can see it's not mounted. I plan on making a flat plate to cover the wiring harness. This will give me a nice flat place to mount it.

Here is the nozzle and where the jets are located. I drilled the whole and used the tap they provided. I think I’ll have to have a bung, or nut, welded into place because there is only at most 2 threads keeping that thing tight.

I made an aluminum plate that mounts to a bolt under the dash to hold the switch. Hidden and is very easy to access.

All in all it took me a few days to get it done. I think I did a nice job, except for zip tying the box, but all in all the install went easy. I am running NGK TR6 plugs, one temp colder than stock. I have yet to make a 3rd gear pull and take out a few plugs to see if I’m lean or not though. Comments and tips are more than welcome.

RiCe_KiLlEr = The line from the bottle to the box i ran under the car. 99-00 Mustangs have non return style fuel system. So i ran a line from the shreader valve located at the end of bank one to the Zex box. It's all explained in the instructions that come with the kit. Now the kit comes with a "T" which you would use on a Return style system. This T would go before the Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR) and you would run the fuel feed line from the box to the T. Again the kit comes with everything needed.

01snake = I didn't get a chance to buy a bottle heater or a purge. I will however post those pictures and let everone know what i did.

[align=left]Great install and pics. Looks very clean. If you are going for the stealth look, you will want to paint the coupling at the schrader valve. I can see that in the pic and would be a dead giveaway IMHO. You may also want to paint the nozzle black underneatht he CAI. It isnt see but, if someone is looking, they may find it.

All in all, very nice and very clean. NOW GET SOME NUMBERS!!!!

For info on heater and purge I have some pics on my write up in the v6 section. Any more info and you can just ask. The setup was extremely easy, more so than I expected....just the wiring was a pain to deal with but anyone can do it.

And rice_killer, if you get the Zex kit intended for the GT's, you can use their fuel rail adapter for the fuel line, or you can use a 1/16npt -4an adapter for the line instead of the tee fitting. Both would be better.

I still have a few things i wanna change. I still wanna add get a nitrous pressure gauges and i have a narrow band o2 gauge that i am putting in an autometer cluster that goes where the clock would in an sn95 mustang. I will have the cluster in tomorrow with the narrow band. but i won't have the nitrous gauge for awhile. College sucks and takes all of my money.

There's a seller on ebay, I can'tremember his name, but they sell a bunch of autometer stuff for cheap. I got a narrowband from them for like $30. They also had electric fuel pressure and nitrous pressure gauges going for around $60-$75 (about 1/3 what they normally sell for) and if I can remember his name or if I have time I'll look for him tomorrow.
