Nitrous Help ! ! !
I was wandering if you guys could help me out.…I have a 1991 mustang notch 5 speed and I hoping if you could let me know what I need to do for me to be able to shoot a Dry 100 shot of nitrous in my car ? ? My engine has the fallowing things, GT40 heads cast iron, ford racing GT 40 intake, E303 ford racing cam, Full Exhaust, 24 pounds injectors, 190 in-take fuel pump, cold air intake, under drive pulleys, C&L meter,MSD box
I have swap to the Auto lights 24 plugs (forgot the gaping on it) and set the timing at 12* and using 91 octane fuel.
Thanks Andy

Not much. The dry shot doesnt use fuel so I've seen them mounted right on to your filter connected to your mass air sensor. I have also seen people drill a small hole for the nozzle into the throttle body itself.

just wrong
so i won't dig on it....just will say disregard this post
ok for a real answer.....
the jetting i'm ussuming you are using is 47 in the nozzle and 57 in the tee ? or close to that anyways ?
is the kit installed ?
you NEED to check the plug gap, that means a lot or you'll need to go excess phat to be safe
i go stock plugs gapped at .042" but since you went you wentcolder (i like small gaps anyways) go ahead w/ .045-.050
w/ those gaps, 91 octane + 12* is good, as long as it is cool out, pretty much you will get used to the kit on your car and know what works.
the hotter it is out, you need to do 1 of 2 things...add octane or remove timing
your absolutely perfect onyour fuel system and can go as high as 150 jets (67 nozzle 42 in the tee) BUT !!! if you go over 125 jets you need to shim the nitrous reg
do you have an msd box ? not totally necessary but nice to have.
w/ your mods (unsure of your base runs) i would guess you can run 12.80 on motor and should break into the 11's on nitrous
assuming you hook well w/ a 1.6x 60' time
if your far from that (more than 4 tenths) you have something to look at

thanks a lot nitrous_bob.
i will check out my gapping on the plugs and go with a .045... The nitrous kit is already on my car and i have not yet used it beacuse i was not sure on the timing and the gapping...
I willtest it this weekend on the street and let you know how it went...
