Default I have a ?

Hey guys! I just joined and I recently bought my first mustang about a week and a half ago. Its a 97 GT with a vortech supercharger. My question is does the by-pass valve have to be recirculating or can it be vented out?

Has to be recirculating....

Unless you switch and run blow through.

+1 unless you are running your MAF in a blow through configuration, you need to recirculate the air. A blow through setup is when the MAF is positioned inbetween the head unit and the throttle body (hence the term blow through). Most likely you have a draw through where it is behind your air filter but before the supercharger. FYI changing this configuration requires retuning your vehicle.
