all set here....installed the oem mufflers and sounds good now. deeper and doesnt have drone like the flowmasters. Easier to deal with now. Problem solved.

well installed the x and hate it. 3000+rpm it sounds like i am dragging tin cans or something like that. way too much tinny sound on pedal push. Heard one thing is to put back oem mufflers.another is try different mufflers like borla or boomtubes? I have flowmasters now. Or just try to get rid of x pipe,it was only 150 and get catted x.
there's your problem. that's not the X making it sound like that, that's the dronemasters.
my car sounded awesome, especially at WOT with the catted X and LM2s. but like everyone said, it's personal preference.

sorry to say this to you and all flowmaster owners but thats normal with those mufflers. they sound great on a mustang true mustang tone but there is the tin can noise. take note in this video.

well i have an o/r-h w/ flowmaster 40's. i have to say it sounds pretty damn good. alotta drone tho which is just the flows, but WOT is a blast and will turn heads pretty well. i love the h but the flows gotta go. i want ear splitting sound just cuz im like that so im gonna switch to slp lm1's here pretty soon.

i gotta question tho. any1 kno what the aprx hp gain on o/r mid pipe is over stock?

i have always said go x for 4.6 and h for 5.0 but its all up to your preference
thats probably the rule of thumb if there is any for this.

lke said b4 h is lower and throatier and x is raspier. all about preference, look up sound clips and choose like that

Perhaps it should be called the RULE OF WRIST
