Hmmm.. Jack Stands would own or a lift if you have access to it..
Hmmm depending on the shape of your current pipes.. just a socket if by hand or a air gun.. just really depends on what you have available..
Good socket set ideal case... Something to cut the old pipes and a socket set and some jacks/stands worst case

Whenever your doing some car work try to spray the nuts and bolts down a couple times a day a head of time with some pb blaster wd-40 or whatever you got it should help it go easier. If you dont have car ramps i would suggest getting them. A good jack, jack stands or some good blocks of wood never hurt iether. A Sawzall works great for removing old exhause pipe.

well, i just got back from acomplishing nothing......yea, i knew i needed stands, and i was gonna use break lose to clear the bolts,
but how in the FU*K was i supposed to do anything, there was no room, the bolts were hidden way the ***k away from everything, and there was absolutely no way i was gonna be able to do that myself, with a couple others...
screw that ****, im gonna probably find someone who will do it for me for under a 100 bucks, and not have a problem with the whle no cats thing...
f***ing crap

Hahahah... newb.
Use a 12" extension and a swivel and you can get to every single bolt.

i dotn know how you think i'll be able to get everything i need with just a swivel and an extension,, but i'll look into it, and finding the right size,, it was bigger than 5/8 and that was the biggest i had available at the moment....
if there was as little rust as i think there was, can i use the same bolts to put up the new midpipe to the stock headers? cause tehre was much less rust than i expected, i might not even need to use the corrosive stuff, but i probably will just to be safe...
and how in the hell do the MIL's work? in the MAC o/R h there are two places where it looks like they could go.. i am pretty sure they go in the second part, like by the 'H' cross point.. and that i use the original plug in up by where the mid pipe attaches.. but ****, i dont know... i thought that 99-03's only had one place, and that the 04's needed to be in two different places , or at least have extensions... i dont know,
if anyone has pictures of thier install process, i would almost give my left nut to get ahold of them.. hell, might as well give the whole damn package down there,, as pissed as i was earlier not being able to do anything with my520+130+60=710$ exhaust system...
sorry if i sound like a dick, i'm just frustrated, then my dad jumped on me a bit about not having any idea wtf i was doing..
(one more thing.) how in the heck to the mil's screw into the pipe,, the four holes in the pipe are threaded, so like something can go into them,, but how the heck do they actually attach,, i dont know, somebody who wasnt taken back by my attitude please help,
today was not a good day at installing stuff... [sm=rant.gif]
well i didnt install a mid pipe but i did do a magnapack catback. As for the midpipe i think the "MIL" go between your oxygen sensor and the wiring harness. Im not 100% sure on that though someone might want to jump in on that one.
I installed my catback on a lift so i was standing under my car, which probably made a huge difference. I would say you defently need the room so i would suggest ramps and jack stands for the minimal. Without either of those you cannot move on unless you are some damn scrawny. Or have a pit.
I used all the original hardware for my catback, my car is an 02 gt and everything came off with ease. I cut my stock catback with an oxy/acetelyne torch. You cant get the stock catback out. It aint worth nothing now anyways though right?
If anything is seized the best thing to use is a can of coke. Pour the pop into a spray bottle and spray the hell out of her, that stuff will eat through anything.
