Default Vortech question .....

I work with this guy that has an 03 GT.He has everything for a vortech minus the actual head unit.I know the 03 V-1 S-trim has a straight discharge but he found a V-1 S-trim 90 discharge from a Fox 5.0 very very cheap..Any way the question is do all the V-1 S-trims have the same mounting locations..could he mount the V-1 from the fox onto his 03 (with his year mounting bracket and whatnot) and just cut the 4.6 intake tube at the bottom where it 90's into the unit and just use a silicone hose and clamps to connect the two or either get a custom pipe made? He was asking me today but I have no idea so I figured I would see if any of you guys do....

Default RE: Vortech question .....

i dont know how you would make that work, the kits for an 03Gt would have the pulley facing the motor where as the fox blowers have the pulley facing the front of the car so if you got it to mount the doutlet of the head unitwould be facing twards the front of the car and you would have to make a tube that cuved all the way around back to the throttle body. And i believe it is the wrong direction of rotation also

Won't work. You'll be spinning the blower the wrong way.
