Default Boost vs Nitrous

Ok, i have a helicoil in my front drivers side spark plug hole, and i feel pretty confident with it, it was done by a shop. Now, im debating on whats safer for the car witha stock motor.

a 100 shot of nitrous with ALL the safety equipment
or
8lbs of boost from a procharger

The nitrous i can have by this summer, but id sacrifice getting 4.10 gears. The supercharger will come next summer, and this summer ill have gears.

Nitrous-1500
procharger-5000

no i didnt think of a turbo. How much does a basic kit go for? can I run it on a stock motor without much worry? How difficult is the install?

check out www.turbokits.com , they have basic kits for your mustang that run on completely stock motors. if not, if you do some research, you can design your own custom setup.

its not that simple. n20 is cheaper to get into, but a bigger PITA and just as expensive over the long run. Your best bet is buy a s/c off somebody - gee who might have one?

the cool thing with turbos is that you can adjust your engine settings from your cockpit. to me at least its sooo much easier. i also am a fan of n20 so dont think im partial like others [sm=nxsmile.gif]

Since when is nitrous more expensive than a blower?? A brand new zex wet kit is under 600 bucks and you'll get 100rwhp out of it. I like nitrous, while a blower would be sweeter, 5 grand is ALOT of money to spend on one mod.

since you need a fair amount of goodies to do a n20 setup CORRECTLY and the fact that you could go through 150 bucks of n20 a week with your eyes closed... its just too much fun

http://bgturbokits.com
http://ponydown.net

Both very reputable places that sell kits sub 4k.

I would read up on http://theturboforums.com
Very good information.

I would go with the turbo.
