Im trying to get the deapest sound I can get out of my o7 gt. I have borla x-pipe and american thunder mufflers. What header will give me what I want?

 

You're not going to have a deep sound with the x pipe. Switch out to an o/r h. Try adding long tubes after the h switch if you still don't like the sound. Stingers or mac would give you a deeper type axleback also.

 

I put the x pipe on so it wouldnt be so raspy after revving. If I put the h pipe back on it will sound like its backfirein after revving. how would I stop that? I was told x pipe is better for that because the air couldnt get trapped inside the pipe.

 

The x pipe makes a raspy sound. the h pipe will make it deeper. Are you referring to the gurgles after reving or engine braking? My o/r h and stingers do that. I also get some pops sometimes. The x pipe is a little better just for flow. You couldn't tell a difference by feel though.

 

Yes exactly. I want the better flow but that deep sound. I rather not have any gurgling but if the h pipe has the deeper sound then Ill change my x pipe. What brand headers do you think are the best? I heard borla lt headers are the best.
