nitrous help
"better" is a relative term, gonna get you opinions not any facts
it's more about personal pref... personally i go dry...on my 3rd kit that way and never any probs
here were my et changes
1989 5-speed notch NOS dry kit jetted at 75:
NA = 13.20's @ 102 on spray = 12.50's @ 109
1990 aod 'vert zex 100 shot dry on street tires:
NA = 15.10 @ ??? on spray = 13.60 at ???
1993 notch 5-speed NOS dry kit jetted at 80(fixed...not adj):
NA = 13.99 on spray = 12.90-ish
i haven't gotten a good run on the juice on the '93, after working out some problems i then was unable to hook....my mph was about 106, so 12.80-12.90 is a good number to go by
as far as consistency goes....i don't buy that wet are more consistent
i never went wet simply cuz i say i'm not gonna fix what ain't broken
the first 75 you squirt will knock about a second off your et the next 75 will take maybe another 1/2 second only.....so i stay w/ small jetting. which is another reason to just stay dry for me. i'm not saying it's better per say, but nitrous is not flammable, so if there is no fuel spraying through your intake, there is nothing to explode. dry kist just get fuel to the injectors more like a direct port kit (but by no means comparable to DP kit...that is the best way to spray hands down...period)
so i stay away from wet for my own reasons....wet guys stay away from dry for their reasons.
it's just one of those things, if i ever plan to go 150+ i will go w/ a NOS big shot plate kit
wet nozzle kits and wet tb plate kits both squirt fuel through the upper intake.
real plate kits (between the upper and lower or direct port kits do not....eliminating the possibility of the intake combusting)
75-ish jets will get you 10 full runs if your keeping the bopttle warm, 150 will get you about 5-6

I agree with Bob I had a NOS dry kit on my car for over 10 years and never had any problems
You usually have problems when it is not installed properly or the engine is not in good shape.
I finally went with a supercharger last year because I got tired of filling bottles.
Nitrous is a great bang for the buck mod and very safe when used properly.
