American Thunder
Hey this is a newbie thing to ask but i really ahve no clue about this exhaust. I have a bassani x pipe and flowmaster super 40s for mufflers... but my question is wats the american thunder catback..... are those just diff mufflers or pipes? or is AT exhaust where the xpipe goes?
the american thunder cat back is (2) 2 1/2 inch 40 series delta flow mufflers, flow tubes connected to the mufflers and 2 1/2 inch tail pipes. that gets conncted to your X pipe obviously. plmk if this helped
o yeah that helped sorry for the late response i havent been around lately... but yeah i wasnt sure about the exhaust. I have flowmaster super 40 mufflers but then i got a bassani x pipe and shorties.. I like the sound of my car but is it a big difference with an all american catback exhaust or offroad h-pipe
The american thunder kit comes with the super 40 mufflers, not the delta flow. Get an H pipe to go with this kit because its not nearly as loud as you probably think. They used to use just regular 40 series two chamber mufflers and those were louder. Get a UPR or Mac H pipe. They range for around $135 to $175. I got mine for $150 shipped to my door from pacificaperformance.com

Your engine is a large air pump. Air in through the induction system; air out through the exhaust. Mandrel-bent, larger diameter aluminized tubing allows an urestricted flow of exhaust for a better breathing engine. That equals longer engine life, more power and better economy. Included is a pair of Flowmaster "40-Series" 2-chamber mufflers for a LOUD throaty growl. This kit comes with all installation hardware.
