Default Supercharging or Turbo ?

i plan on doing one of the above, if you feel like it.. come on, try to convince me of which one i should do... turbocharge or supercharge ? i wanna hear WHY you chose what you did. and which system ?

she's not a trailer queen, but i will be in some shows, she won't be a 9 second car but she will be dragged once in a while, she definately will be driven, but not a daily driver. 500-700hp range preferable...

what turbo lag?? Ill see full boost at 3000rpm makes boost waaay faster than a centrifugal supercharger

13-14 psi supercharger, build block and heads, cams for the same $$$ as a turbo. Then add and 100-150 shot of nitrous on top of it along with other supporting mods you will need....

You would probably make close to 500 rwhp without the nitrous....

Depends on what you're wanting. If you want a street car to play around in i would definitely suggest a roots or twin screw supercharger. They're more fun than turbo cars by a long shot.

If you're wanting a faster car i'd say go turbo.

I prefer turbo myself, but it's more for the power. I love roots superchargers just as much, they make up for it in the fun factor where turbo lacks somewhat.

Never owned or built a twin screw car. Driven one, but never messed around with it enough to give you good input.

So... my opinion, you want a straight line drag car (That's including straight line racing on the street) I'd say go turbo. For everything else I'd recommend a positive displacment supercharger. I think you'd probably like a roots or twin screw more though.

I have a supercharger but if you don't have to worry about smog(I'm in san diego) I would definetly go turbo, its more efficient than s/c, will make more hp per pound of boost, and the boost can easily be adjusted for normal driving. If you're looking for the easiest than s/c the most hp I would say go turbo
