ok, within the next couple of months, im buying myself a charger!!! now i need to find out what i want and what else i need for the charger. so i was wondering, what should i do for the supercharger, do i need internals or anything? do i need a new fuel system? do i need a new clutch? anything i need? im kinda leaning towards a procharger.... also, where are the BEST prices for chargers? i want to get one for about 3k. i want an intercooler for mine also. thinking of running about 8-9 psi.

 

Your going to have a hard time finding all that for 3K. Just the Procharger kit for your vehicle would be over 4K. It would come with an intercooler and run at around 9psi. Keep the boost low and you wont need forged internals, its recommened that you upgrade the fuel system, clutch will prolly start slipping so youll need a new one when the time comes and, I would do some kind of ignition system though its not a necessity. Any s/c company would be able recommend any other upgrades.

3K for an s/c is a stretch (but you might find one on ebay or stumble across a deal somewhere) - def not wif an intercooler for that price tho....

 

OK I've got the same car as you and preaty much the same mods. My next step? You guessed the blower. I'm going to go with the procharger. Two reasons. Performance wise and I don't really like tapping the pan and running lines for the oil. The same car the we have with less stuff done than us ran 11.94 @ 114 mph. With 8 pounds of bust. Wich is the higher boost we can run with out compromising the engine. Unless you want to do internals wich would be also more money you'd have to spend. The kit I'm gettin installed is $5000.00. If I want to upgrade to a three core intercooler then add another $300.00 and if you want the polished finish is about $200.00 more. This kit is also good up to 12 psi wich isn't bad at all. I'm in miami so I wouldn't know where to go where you live. My advice. Go to procharger.com and get the brochure for the aplication you want. Again I would recomend not to run more than 8 psi of bust. Good luck.

 

ok, im gonna get the kit with a 3 core intercooler and run 8 psi of boost till i get my internals... im building my car to be a fully streetable and reliable supra/viper killer if possible... is this possible without serious amounts of money like a new block? kinda be like a sleeper... even though i wont cause of my exhuast... but everyone here with a mustang has exhuast only so it will be like a sleeper till i get on it. i just want to be able to kill turbo cars, essentially my friends project that is almost done! hes got a 240sx with a DOHC KA24 and i want to be able to beat him, hes got a new cam, just a intake cam instead of an exhuast on the exhuast side, then hes got an aluminum flywheel, greddy T3 turbo, 47lb injectors, full 3 inch turbo back exhuast, full 300zx suspension and rims and brakes and crap, then hes got a stage 2 clutch in it and also a big front mount intercooler for the turbo, hes running 8 psi till he gets pistons which is 250rwhp and then hes cranking it up to 15 with the internals in, so that will be almost 400 he said... i want to be FASTER than him, cant get beat by a ricer, you all know how it is.


for the supercharger, im going to install it myself, i dont get stuff installed.... i found one on ebay for 3600 for the procharger kit with a 3 core intercooler and 8 and 10 psi pullies i guess. is it possible for me to get new pullies for the supercharger after i get new pistons... also i want cams in my car.. i heard the VT stage 2 cams and this is true love, they sound beatiful and i want them.... will i loose much low end with those cams? do they make them for a supercharger? can i drive my car with s/c cams without having a supercharger cause i want the cams first before i buy the blower.

DAMN those are some good prices!!! now i wish i had that money right now!!! i have definatly been looking on ebay for a kit... although i am thinking of buying a kit new, not used cause i dont want to take the risk of someone having a messed up one or forgetting parts and that crap.
