I just installed the UPR X-Pipe on my 02 GT today in about 45minutes. None of my nuts or bolts were rusted, so that made it pretty easy. I would say just have a jack handy to hold it while you get it adjusted. And I also found it was easier to unplug the O2 sensors on the factory unit, and transfer them on the pipe before you reinstall. You have a V6, right? On the 4.6 I did find the swivel socket extension to be very usefull.

I've heard that - my SLP Catted X should arrive any day. I need to make a trip down to Queers (Sears) and pick one up!

Actually it was more than usefull, it was a must. You have to use deep-well sockets on the manifold nuts, and there is just no room to get lined up without one (swivel, unless you have shorter deep wells than I do). I tried the night before without the swivel and thought I would save myself, and the neighbors from hearing my profanity at 1:00 a.m. The next moring I purchased the swivel and had it done in about 45min. Did notice a ticking today though. Come to find out I forgot to tighten the bolts on the driver side pipe to the X. Oops!

LMAO! That happens to me and my neighbors a lot too! How long of an extender do you need - 6 inches"

Actually, I used two 4" and one 2" on the passanger outside, and just the 8" on the inside. Looked like an erector set! I just kept adding until my knuckles were clear of any sharp edges. I am sure there is a better way, but it got the job done. Laying on my back with the car up on ramps, and the concrete only being about 40 degrees, like the air, I was all about what worked best for the current situation!
