Default Muffler for a Single Exhaust??

Just curious are the GT mufflers any louder then a single exhaust on a 2005 coupe V6 do you know. Besides being duel exhaust of course. The wife is wanting to upgrade her stock muffer with something with a little more sound taking off ect..

I was just thinking if I found a stock GT muffler if it would sound better then her stock muffer?

If not, also talking any recommandations on a replacment muffer for her 2005 V6 Coupe Mustang. Nothing to loud but something that would sound better then stock muffle taking off ect. Noticable.

I wanted to run duels but on the Coupe it only has one cut out for the exhaust and she doesnt have the funds to buy a replacment rear bumper that has two cut outs. ect..

Thanks!

The GT muffler is one of the most popular first mods for the 4.0. It adds a nice sound and a performance improvement too. Look for a GT take off from a manual car if possible as it is a little less restrictive then the auto. There is a template available for cutting the bumper cover for the driver's side muffler if you want to go duals in the future w/o replacing it. Search the 4.0L forum for probably 100's of threads on this topic.
