Default nos ?

hey i have a 90 gt with 157k on the motor. i have bbk headers and an x pipe with no cats and flow masters. i also have bbk underdrive pullys. i was kickcing around the idea of putting a smalll 50 shot of nos on. just for the track. i was wandering if it would hurt my motor or should i wait entell i replace the motor wich will be way down the road. any info will be appreciated. thx

50 shot is pretty small, youll be fine. you can go as high as 75 without really any concerns. were you thinking wet or dry kit?

well, if it DID hurt your motor, then it would just give u an excuse to get a newer/bettter/stronger engine that much sooner... depends on how you wanna go about it :P

wet kits use there own fuel supply to feed the nitrous where as, dry kits use the injectors to supply the extra fuel for nitrous, wet kits have been known to give better results but there harder to install

And other than the fact it's Nitrous and not the Holley Brand Nitrous Oxide Systems
Don't be the cool kid on the block and just install the kit.
Do the responsible thing and make sure you can get the fuel there to back it up.
So definatly get it tuned.
Get it perfectly tuned and hell, you can run a 150 on that old pony of yours.

But I will suggest a Dry Kit. Wet's are too expensive, for the same outcome.
If you do happen to go wet, do not run it before the TB.

So if you DO go the nitrous route, follow the rules and you should love the stuff.

PS moving this to the proper section
