X pipe ?
When you change to an x pipe do you have to remove the cats? or do you stock cats stay on? Or are you able to use you stock cats on the new xpipe? i want to gain performance but also maintain my emissions equipment.
They come wif em (cats, if you get a catted pipe). If you get an off-road unit, you’re cat-less.
At any rate, your stock unit is one piece and most after-market pipes are to. I know the SLP catted X is a modular unit cause that’s what I run – by modular, you can swap out the cats for race-inserts making you off-road.

The new pipe will replace where your cats previously were. If your worried about emisions just get a highflow X pipe instead of an Offroad X pipe. The highflow will give you basically the same performance as the offroad but will be a little more expensive and will be a little bit more quite (but still louder).
The Magnaflow Tru-X crossover pipe I bought was welded in behind the stock converters and O2 sensors. If I went with the crossover pipe with their converters, it would have more than doubled the cost.
