I have a 2001 Mustang GT with magnaflow exhaust. Im looking for a catted mid-pipe but im not sure which one I want. My friend has the SLP catted X-pipe with his magnaflow catback and it sounds good, but a little loud and racy for me. Which one should I get to not make it super super loud but more of a deep muscle car sound.

SLP catted x-pipe (SS)
Mac catted h-pipe
Mac catted prochamber
BBK catted x-pipe
etc. etc. etc. You pick one around $400

Si - (Mac) Pro Chamber, Bro. I have the SLP Catted X wif LM II's and didn't like it at first. I fuggin love it now and would highly recomend this setup (although it is a bit racy, as you point out, but the LM II's are prolly deeper than the Magna's)....

The catted MRT H-Pipe is really good but really expensive. It's worth it though, I like mine. Here's my clip of my car(I have Magnapacks).

2k1gt, which mufflers do you and your friend have, magnaFLOWs or magnaPACs?

The reason I am asking is I didn't think magnaFLOWS would be that loud with a catted x?

I am having my magnaFlOWs put on tomorrow and I am still undecided which midpipe to get as well.

 

I got mine from www.mrt-direct.com , but www.ninosport.com sells them too and you can probably get a better deal from them. MRT-diret shipped it to me in like 1 day though, if your looking for fast delivery.

 

Whats the stock size of the pipes, is it like 1 1/2 right? Because the MRT's are 2 1/2? I really dont remember
