Default Headers Worth The Work

What kind of gains would headers give me if i have a BBK off road x pipe and American Thunder cat back. Is it worth the effort to put them in sound wise or hp wise? I would have to go with shorties because the car is lowered already. Any input, suggestions?

if your lowered like i am you will scrape with long tubes but short headers will actually make you lose hp till you get into the higher rpms. i have long tubes and would suggest them to everyone i love the sounds and the performance gains from a full exhaust.

it wouldnt lose hp...it would just move the hp curve up to the higher rpms since exhaust can flow easier and faster...i have never heard of a mod that can make you lose hp...of course....i guess buying one of those stupid ebay chip thingies could do that but not anything else
