ok i have a vortech ready to go in, in maybe 1 hour, but i have just realized that i have steeda underdrive pullies..and i know these will make the blower spin slower thus giving me less boost..correct? does anybody have a blower and underdrive pullies?? does this even really matter? and how many lbs might i lose??

you better find you some stock ones...underdrives with a blower do not go together...boost will lag too.

 

how bad is it though?? i mean i dont see why it would lag but i can see how i'd get less boost maybe 1 lb..

You r not supoussed to use UDP with a s/c aplication. Get the stock ones and put them back in. R u doing it your self. The s/c instalation I mean.

 

yeah im doing it myself...and yeah i know about not using the underdrive pullies with the blower..but ..i totally forgot i had the pullies on..

U/D pullies and S/C's dont mix. Your S/C is designed to work with stock pulley ratios. Like the others said, put the stockers back on.

 

Just curious but do most S/C not come with their own crank pully? I have only put on one S/C(on my car) and it has its own crank pully. Its a small one that fits the serp belt and a larger one that sticks out for the S/C belt. So does your vortech just run off the serp belt?
