Default Help!! Boost problems

I just installed a vortech v-1 supercharger with a 3.1 pulley, and treadstone intercooler. I took it to get tuned and its only producing 1.9 lbs of boost?? My recirc valve seems to work good, and I'm pretty sure theres no boost leaks unless the intercooler is shot but i bought it brand new. The head unit is used and i rebuilt it all new bearings and seals, impeller spins good w/ no broken fins and in the correct direction. Any ideas???????

I would start with checking for boost leak. If not double check the pulley. I am not to sure about superchargers and what pulleys you can get for them. That is just where I would start.

pretty positive theres no boost leaks unless the intercooler leaks but i doubt it because its brand new i might have a underdrive crank but it seems like its too much of a drop in boost

The belt should be extremely tight. I just threw mine on and barley tightened it. I made 6lbs, then tightened it a little more and made 7lbs, then did it as much as I could and made 10lbs. After fixing a small leak and added a powerpipe I'm now making 15lbs. I'd check there first.

+1 ON THE BELT, ALSO, MY RUBBER COUPLER POPPED OFF MY UNIT ONCE, I LOST PRESSURE. I COULD HARDLY TELL THAT IT POPPED OFF THE HEAD UNIT BECAUSE IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS STILL ON.

So what did the tuner have to say? And you're not supposed to run underdrives w/a blown application
