Default which supercharger?

Ive got a '03 GT that Im looking to supercharge. Im looking to spend around $4000. I think that Im leaning to a Procharger but am definitly open to suggestions. I know this is a pretty general thread but I just wanted to get some opinions from someone who knows more then me. Thanks.

I have a vortech and I love it but the procharger and paxton/novi are all good blowers. with$4000 you have alot of options, check craigslist and e-bay for used stuff and you'll get alot more for your money. have fun

STAY AWAY FROM PROCHARGER. THEIR QUALITY SUCKS. I WAS SECONDS AWAY FROM BUYING A KENNE BELL BUT ATI'S BROCHURE LOOKED NICE. I KICK MYSELF IN THE A$$ FOR NOT BUYING THAT KB. PROCHARGER COULD'VE DONE A BETTER JOB WITH THEIR INTERCOOLER PLUMBING. WHEN I GET INTO THE BOOST MY SERPENTINE BELT ALWAYS JUMPS A RIB ON THE AC COMPRESSOR TOO. I SEE PAXTON/VORTECH MUSTANGS AT CAR SHOWS AND THEIR QUALITY SEEMS MUCH BETTER. IF YOU ARE ANTSY ABOUT PUTTING ON A SUPER RIGHT AWAY AND DON'T WANNA SAVE FOR A BETTER BLOWER,"KB", THAN STICK WITH A PAXTON/VORTECH. I WOULD NOT RUN ANYTHING LESS THAN 8 PSI IF IT WERE MY CAR BUT AT LEAST YOU WON'T NEED A INTERCOOLER WHEN RUNNING 6 PSI. SAVES YOU MONEY.

KB is not a better blower just a different type. not better. KB the boost comes early and stays level, the vortech just keeps on building.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think Ill go with a Vortech. Does anyone know where to get a good deal on a new one? Im just a little worried about getting a used s/c. I also understand that Ill have to take off my u/d pullies and put the stock ones back on, is this correct?

yes, the stock pullies must be on. you could check out superchargersonline.com i had my tuner buy mine so i'm sure he got it direct from vortech. good luck.
