Unhappy low boost

I posted my track times in the S/S section. Really bad times. I found out that my diverter valve it shot. Today i just installed a boost guage that i had lying around. I took it for a drive and found that i have 0 that's zero vaccum. I thought it would be around -20. My boost is a steady 5 psi and spikes up to 9-10psi. Is there anything else i should be checking too and get when i replace the dv. I put the boost line in the middle of the pipe going up to the tb from the s/c. Everything else has been replace for the supercharger kit when i bought it new, except for the dv. I even rebuilt the s/c when i got it. Here a couple videos w/ my cell phone.
also it an autometer guage too.

and i didn't know my hood wasn't latched till i was almost home.

yea the boost gauge has to be hooked to a vaccum line and so does the bypass valve. Make sure they are getting a stong source of vaccum. I have the boost gauge hooked to the big black rubber line on the backside of the intake and the bypass valve hooks to the red plastic vaccum line.

ok so now that i plugged the hole i just drilled into my intake pipe and hooked up the gauge right. The boost guage is show -20hg at idle (good) and at ***** to the wall it only show 4-5lbs of boost from 3kish to red line. Sounds like a bad dv huh?

well if you want to see if its working or not just pull the tube off and see if its blowing air out at idle. If it is then thats good. Then pull the vaccum line off the valve rev the car a little and see if air is still coming out. If air still comes out then your valve is leaking. If theres no air coming out then its working fine. What size pulley are you running? Is it intercooled and do you have full exhaust?

I do have full exhaust. Stock vortech v1 pulley, no i/c just a pwr pipe. I'll check the my diverter valve in a bit.

well on my car with the v1 on 3.60 pulley with powerpipe, stock headers, offroad x pipe, and catback made 8.5psi at redline. Longtube headers will cause a slight loss in boost because theres less restriction.

I have shorties, o/r h, and slpII. The tuner said it made 10lbs when he dyno it. What tube do i need to pull off first? The one that goes back to the power pipe or are you talking about the big tube to the throttle body then pull the little nipple off?

i took a pen and pushed the diapham up and put my finger on the little nipple to see if it held. And it does. I can blow though it both way if i blow hard enough. so i guess, it really is my dv.

I replaced the dv w/ a 710N valve from audi. It's the valve that comes stock on the audi TT's and it's made better than the one that comes stock on the a4 1.8t's which is what vortech sells with there kit for atleast my car. I put it in and took it for a ride. It makes 5lbs from 3krpm-5krpm and then from there it goes up to 9lbs @ about 6krpm and just about 10bls @ 6,300rpm.
My next question is now that i see what my s/c is doing, do i still shift @ redline? I have a aluminum fly w/ a specII clutch. I heard that if you have aluminum fly you can go run up past red line alittle further. Is there any truth to that? My dyno sheet says i make my full whp @ 5,400rpm. Do i shift were the dyno sheet says? I would think i should. Thanks
