Default 5.0 headers

Would it be cheaper/wiser to have headers made, or to order a pair?

5.0 platform is so mapped out and well known by creditable Header companies that you wont get any better fit than what you can get with a quality pre-made pair such as BBK. Just make sure you get the Ceramic coating as well as a set of Fel-Pro header gaskets. Some copper sealer and locking header bolts would make a worth while investment too.

If you are going to do headers yourself make sure and be prepared to not use your car for a couple of days or whole day if you start early. It is teadius and you need to be patient. Just take your time and try to organize the parts that you take out so you do not have nay problems putting them back in.
Goof luck. [:@]

for fox bodys the install is pretty simple, im not sure about the sn95's though, but some help for install. (and definetly install yourself, easy to do and saves a lot of money)

drivers side you need to remove the dipstick that should be it, then unbolt the header and take it out.

pass side. remove all of the air box, loosen the clamp at the throttle body and take the bolts out of the MAF bracket, unplug the MAF, undo the clips on the air box, and take it all out.
now you will see two smog pump lines, just unclamp those and move them out of your way.

now it times to take the header out and install the new ones.

its very simple for even a beginner, the hardest part is someone must be under the car, holding the bottom of the header collector bolts while someone on top reaches down and undoes the bolt.

hope this help.. if u need info just shoot me a PM, it was a while ago i installed mine but i think i got everything.
